April Humphries, RN, BSN

Heyyy! My name is April Humphries. I graduated from Wake Tech Community College with my Associates in Nursing and earned my license as a Registered Nurse. From there, I worked in Critical care at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at WakeMed Raleigh. Since then, I earned my bachelors through University of North Carolina - Wilmington. I took the leap and started my journey through mental health at Gupta Psychiatry in January of 2018. From then, Dr. Gupta took me under her wing and opened my eyes to the world of psychiatry. In May of 2019, I started our now popular treatment for Treatment-Resistant Depression, SPRAVATO. Watching this treatment change lives for dozens of patients, my new interests are these up and coming revolutionary treatments to treat mental health disorders. My next goal is to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to continue caring and advocating for my patients!

As far as family life goes, I have a sweet, now toddler, Cameron, a fiance, Zeke, and a beagle named Myers. My hobbies include spending time with them outdoors, along with my sister Meghan, who works next door as a hygienist, and my sweet niece and nephew.
