Callie Barnes, PA

Callie Barnes, MPAS, PA-C is a native of Wake County, born and raised. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Cum Laude honors from Campbell University in 2011. Driven by an insatiable desire to learn, Callie spent the following years gaining hands-on clinical experience in a variety of specialties as a CNA.

In 2017, Callie earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Gardner Webb University, launching her PA career as a hospitalist in rural eastern North Carolina. With an avid interest in critical care, she transitioned to the NSICU and earned ENLS certification. Callie has spent the majority of her career practicing in Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine, witnessing firsthand the rapidly growing need for mental health care providers.

Drawing from her personal experience with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, Callie possesses a genuine passion for helping others with mental health issues. She firmly believes that lifestyle, nutrition, and physical activity play equally crucial roles in mental health as medication.

In her spare time, Callie enjoys scouring thrift stores for old furniture to restore and other DIY projects. She also loves participating in Les Mills programs, kickboxing, cycling, strength training, yoga, and Pilates. During her free time, she cherishes spending quality moments with her husband and daughter, Savannah. Her feline friends, Sweet-sweets and Chap, round out her lovely family.
