Julie Bardini MSW, LCSW
Julie Bardini MSW, LCSW earned her Bachelor's of Social Work degree at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. She then completed her Master's in Clinical Social Work at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus in New York City. Soon after graduating, she moved to Chicago for 5 years where she worked at the University of Chicago Hospitals. After having her children, she moved to Raleigh to be near family and has been here for over 20 years. Her internships and career were centered around helping patients of all ages, stages, and diagnoses in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Julie enjoys working with patients suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, bipolar disorder, grief, trauma, eating disorders, and those going through life transitions. Julie utilizes a strong cognitive behavioral approach while honoring the mind body connection. She attempts to get to the root of the cause, identifying negative thoughts and helping patients replace them with healthier ones. Julie strives to operate from a positive strengths based perspective helping patients develop and apply new and existing skills to help them improve their lives. She also employs a client centered approach incorporating the patients personal values while increasing their confidence, their ability to be present, and ultimatley finding their authentic selves.
Julie has a daughter and son that she loves to spend time with when they are home from college. On her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, walking her dog Lola, exercising, playing tennis and traveling. She also loves the beach and being by the water as often as she can.
